How to send a Private Message (PM)

How to send a Private Message (PM):

Sign in to C3Life.com and proceed to the C3Life Community Forum.
Once you’re in the Forum, find a message/post by the member that you want to send a Private Message to.
Click on or scroll over the person’s screen name (which appears to the left of their message, in the “Author” column). Several links will appear.
Click on the “Send Private Message” link. You will be taken to the “Send Private Message” page.
Type in a subject for your message.
Type in a description of your message (optional).
Type in your message.
If you want to keep a copy of your sent message, click the box next to, “Add a copy of this message to my sent items folder.”
If you want to receive an email when the recipient opens your message, click the box next to, “Send me an email read receipt when recipient reads this message.”
Click the “Spell Check” or “Preview” buttons, if desired.
If you want, you can add an icon or attachment to your message (see the options in the “Post Options” box).
When you’re finished, click the “Send Private Message” button to send your message.

How to create your profile

To create a personal profile in the Forum, click the "Control Panel" link located near the top right of the screen (note: you need to be signed in to C3Life.com in order to see this link). All of your personalization options will be on the left side of that screen (including "Your Profile").

How to ensure only discussion threads with new posts are listed in "bold"

If you want to ensure that only forum discussion threads with new (i.e, unread) posts are listed in bold, be sure to do the following:

1) Make sure you are logged in (i.e., signed in) when you read the Forum.

2) Do not use the "Back" button on the browser. Instead, click on the name of the Forum you wish to go to next and this will refresh all the viewed threads.

How to add a quote to a reply

To add a quote from another member to your reply, simply "copy" the quote from their existing post and "paste" it into your reply/new post. On a PC, you can do this two ways.

1) Highlight the quote you want to copy and select "copy" under the "Edit" menu (at the top of the screen). Create your reply, put your cursor where you want the quote to go and select "paste" under the "Edit" menu.

2) Highlight the quote you want to copy, hold down the Control (CTRL) button on your keyboard and press "C" to copy. Create your reply, put your cursor where you want the quote to go, hold down the Control (CTRL) button again and press "V" to paste.

How to Sign Up

1. Click the "Sign Up" link in the upper left corner of Forum under the "C3Life Community Forum" header. You will be taken to the "Sign Up / Create myC3Life" page.

2. Type in a "First Name" [note: this is a required field].

3. Type in a "Last Name" [note: this is a required field].

4. Type in a "Screen Name" [note: this is a required field].

5. Select a country from the "Country" dropdown box [note: this is a required field].

6. Type in an "E-mail Address" [note: this is a required field].

7. Type in a "Password" [note: this is a required field].

8. Type in the password again to confirm your password [note: this is a required field].

9. Make a selection within the "I am a(n):" area [note: this is a required area].

10. Select a year from the "Please select the year you were born" dropdown box [note: this is a required field].

11. Select a "Gender" [note: this is a required field].

12. Read the "Terms of Use."

13. If you agree with the Terms and Conditions, check the box for "I agree to the C3Life.com Terms of Use. Your personal information will only be submitted if you agree to the C3Life.com Terms of Use."

14. Click the "Submit" button. You will be taken to the "Sign Up / Welcome" page.

15. Click the "Continue to the Forum" link. You will be taken to the Forum Home page and you will be signed in.

2. Click the "ADD TOPIC" button. You will be taken to the "Post New Topic" page.

How to Search the Forum

How to Search the Forum

1. Click the "Search" link in the orange "C3Life Community Forum" banner at the top of the page. A search box will display.

2. Type in your keyword(s).

3. Click the "Go" button. You will be taken to the "Search Results" page.

4. If you want to search using more search criteria, click the "Advanced Search" link in the search box. You will be taken to the "Search Forum/Advanced Options" page.

5. Select/enter your desired search criteria.

6. Click the "Search Forum" button. You will be taken to the "Search Results" page.
